Little Owl having a wing stretch, this is file I have had a go at reprocessing because I was never happy with my web sharpening, so any thoughts on the sharpness would be appreciated.

Wild Bird, photographed at the roadside from the car.

I like the mean look of the Owl & the extended wing. Nice BG as well. Nicely captured Andy.

Magnificent image. Very nice pose with stretched wings, nicely fanned feathers and great expression.Bird is tack sharp on head, their feathers are soft, sharpness is not to worry about.
Beautiful BG and composition.Well done.

Satish.

Really nice, elegant pose. The owl is well balanced in the image and the background sets it off nicely. I love the way the background colors pick up the eye and beak colors. Have you thought about bringing up the face and eyes a little?

Andy:

Sharpening looks fine to me. I like the green on the perch helping to soften it and blend with the bg, so our eye is more attracted by the bird. Good pose, great eye contact.

Cheers

I see your owl was giving you some serious attitude! Love the wing stretch and the green BG.

Fabulous shot, Andy! Love the vertical comp, light, eye contact, perch, pose and background! It couldn't get better than that!

Andy, sharpness looks good to me. great pose and nice green BG. On my screen, the owl face looks a tad dark. i wonder if a slight Curves adjustment would give the image a little more pop against the dark green BG. I may also try to lighten the eyes a little bit too. TFS. Loi

Very nice indeed Andy, I like the bit of wet on it's breast feathers, it looks like it has just caught something. Nothing I would change at all. It is a real shame but they have taken a huge nose dive around here. A few hard Winters and plenty of illegal persecution has done for them. Three years ago I knew where there were eight pairs, now I only know of one. One of my favourite birds as well.

Thanks very much, Andrew. I spent about an hour with this little chap, he was the most relaxed Little Owl I have ever come across, at one point he even had a quick snooze.

Andy don't have any problem at all with the sharpening in fact it looks spot on! to me, still keeping a soft look to the wing feathers which I like, classy pose and a nice Bg,very nice indeed.
Cheers Keith.
