Every year I shoot tons of these and have so many keepers but somehow let them fall behind other birds when I post process. I decided to do one this year.

I wish the HA was better.. But I got good light and the bird decently sharp and with a good beating down position of the wings showing off the red in the wings. I will take it....and keep trying for a better HA or just visit previous year's pics...:)

Great wing position, exposure and IQ! As you say, if only the head were turned more to the camera. TFS

Superb exposure on blacks and reds.Amol, since he is looking down,if I am nor wrong,I would add some more space at the bottom and crop on the top.
Love the flight pose with down word wings.

Regards,
Satish.

It's all been said, Amol...Wing position is great and the exposure is nailed. Excellent flight shot.

Wonderful exposure! I really like the flight pose, blue background and IQ! Yes, a better HA would've been better! Very well done!

I agree with your self critique aboiut the HA, but the rest of the pose is quite good and well detailed too. Love the feet peeking out! The yellow on the wing is darker than what I am used to, perhaps a regional variation.

Striking flight shot. Everything looks nice; pose detail, light, sharpness.

Really nice, I especially like the position of the wings and the whole look of the bird. Is that a food item in it's beak?

Thats a good catch Dan. I cooled the Yellow down with the burn tool but not enough to change color. The yellow the color is as I saw it.
