One of natures most beautiful little birds, enjoy!

I heard this guy singing early yesterday morning so I went out and just sat on the ground in the wide open. He flew down and landed on a barbwire fence. I did clean up some background noise due to shooting at ISO 640.

Handheld
Canon T2i
ISO 640
Canon 400mm f/5.6L
1/500
- 2/3 EV
Aperture priority
Cropped quite a bit

Beautiful shot! Yes, this is one of the most beautiful birds! I like the composition and HA. I see a blue color cast in the image which can be fixed in PS.

Thank you Binu for your suggestions. The blue cast in the feathers evidently is the way they really are and how their feathers can refract light only leaving indigo, so I have read.

I made adjustments to the barbwire and beak to make them look more natural. Their beaks can vary in color, I'm assuming depending on maturity but I'm not positive.

Is this better?

Thanks Phil! I did see the female this morning but the light was really too low to handhold my 400 5.6L...also, I didn't have my camera with me.

I've noticed the blue cast only on the beak, leg and barbwire. Excellent RP!
