Congratulations John Chardine !
Lord of all he surveys
I couldn't resist posting this to Out of the Box for obvious reasons! Tree Swallow captured today at Sackville Waterfowl Park. Out of the Box for aesthetic reasons as well. I always liked the way Robert Bateman (Canadian nature artist) used to do this sort of thing in his images and I try to duplicate when possible- that is, make the subject small and place in out of the way location in the composition, as almost an afterthought.
40D, 500mm F4, 1.4x tc
capture date: Saturday, May 3, 2008 4:36:39 PM
EXIF version: 2.2
exposure program: Aperture Priority
ISO speed: 640
shutter speed: 1/2500
aperture: f7.1
exposure bias: +0.3
metering: Pattern
focal length: 700.0
