I captured this Great Blue Heron yesterday by one of our subdivision's lakes late in the afternoon. The light was wonderful. The shot is nearly full frame. I wonder about the cropping. Should I leave some room in front of the heron "to fly"?

Excellent shot of the GBH! Beautiful wing position and details! Yes, I would add more room on the left and a little bit room on the right too.

Although I like tight crops, I'd love to see this great shot with more room, as Binu suggested. The bird is moving, which needs more room than a static pose.

Very cool pose. Nice bird and head angle. I would suggest to give more room all around the bird.

A beautiful look at that near wing with a nice full downstroke. Yes to more room in front, and too bad the subject is angling away from you. I'm really liking the texture to the water here.

Nice wing position and layers to fill the frame.
