I captured this image in December 2012, post processed today. I captured this image from the end of the city fishing pier on Anna Maria Island, Florida. This bird is a rarity for Florida, in the winter of 2012 they were located off both coasts. Most of the bird, like this one, were juveniles lacking the white stripes on the bill. Some think Hurricane Sandy moved them further south, normally they are not found southerly of New Jersey in the winter. Razorbill Auk's most times are out to sea only coming to shore to nest and breed building the nest on cliff sides. Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

That is quite a closeup of this rarity you got...must have been exciting! I'm sure there was nothing you could do for a lower angle therefore you given a free pass this time:S3: Good head angle, and I like the drops on the back. Looks like there is a bit of a purple cast to the blacks, and critical focus is on the rear half of the subject with the head soft.

Thank you for viewing and commenting Daniel. I know, not my best. This was captured when I was beginning my journey into bird photography. The fishing pier did not allow for a lower angle.
