It was taken on a very windy very cold day. I stayed out only for a short time.
I posted the down wing position earlier. This time it is the up wing pose.

I like the pose and the wing position on this shot Karl and I like the grey BG also. The head looks a bit soft and I see some remnant of your PP work below the head. Maybe try to open up the darks on the head a bit and then work the catch light as I think that it is giving the effect of being soft or blurred. Nice job catching this speedster in flight.

Karl, You worked so hard on your images this winter, with all the weather that you endured. This is such a hard species to photograph. In this frame, I would like to see a brightness adjustment, a sharper head and eye, the green opened up more, and removal of the cloning artifact under the head. Something odd happened at the top of the head too, maybe a selection that is causing that fuzziness?

I just switched monitors and now I see what you were talking about.
I fixed the artifacts but unfortunately the head remains soft no matter what I do.
