From a couple of weeks back when a remarkably tolerant pair of Common Goldeneyes patrolled close to the shoreline along the edge of ice (which is just out of the frame below and right). The water is fast-running at this spot and does not fully freeze over even during the coldest temperatures we get, but the amount of open water is greatly reduced thus forcing some normally skittish species closer.

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2500s., f/8, ISO 400, natural light, handheld while lying flat on the ice, small crop for comp but basically FF.

Excellent super low shooting angle and nice detail, Daniel. Nice showing off of the beautiful green on the head against the blue water.

Good looking bird, and low angle. Lying flat on ice is fortunately not in my experience here in Australia :). Given that all looks good on my monitor calibration strip, the bird's head looks a touch dark.

Lovely image Daniel. Nice low angle as always, great IQ and I love the bubble in front of the duck. Very cool!

Couldn't be better. Love the low angle. Laying on the ice is true dedication to getting the image. Wonderful colors and detail.

HI Daniel
I don't go a lot for low angles and reflections but this one looks good. Love the bow wave (That helped to get rid of the reflection too !!!)
Nice one.

Very very nice Daniel.
Colors are spot on and IQ is excellent. I would like a bit more room on the right.

Just love that bright yellow eye!
The blue water makes the bird pop quite nicely and light brings enough iridescence and for me, that makes the image special. I only wish there was more room all around it, especially on the right.

That head angle really brings out the greens in those feathers! Awesome IQ. Glad to see another one from your series.

Nicely composed and captured Daniel and love the sense of movement.
