Beautiful Kestrel, the bird against the white snow background makes the color of the bird stand out nicely.

I like the hovering pose and dangling talons. Nice view of the underwing patterns. I realize you wanted to keep the oof vegetation as habitat, but I would at least eliminate the line touching the chest.

Cool pose and lovely, peaceful image. Like the BG bar the one line extending to the bird's chest. Thanks for sharing Karl!

Thanks Daniel, good advice. The line has been eliminated.

Lovely stuff ! Almost a painting. Better with the chest line removed.

Thanks, Gail. It was certainly my lucky day.
It just happened by chance as I discovered that the person with the mice was from the same town and I knew him.
My wife and I were invited to join and we did.

Karl your repost looks way better!
Besides, this is a spectacular bird, you were rewarded with such pose and light!

The original was great, but glad you took Daniel's suggestion as this takes it over the top!

Very nice second option
Details are a lot interesting and the snow is perfect as location.
For me a little less space on the right side
