Taken this chilly Long Island morning over a salt marsh.

Thank you for looking and for your comments.

Sunny 16, 1Dm2n, 700mm, bean bag from car window.

Great light, pose and setting. Maybe a bit CW rotation. A bit more head turn would have been nice. Did you apply NR on the plumage?

Axel, Thanks, agree on the CW rotation, agree on the head turn, (wasn't happening and I wasn;t going to trash the opportunity 'cause of that), and no NR to any part of the image.

Maybe it is just a little motion blur (wings), what was the shutter speed?

Lovely image Grace. Sharp subject & I liked the background a lot. The blur vertical grass look like soft brush strokes of a painting...

Hi Grace -

The background is lovely, and you captured a nice flight pose. The placement of the bird in the frame is also good. The wished for head turn is the only nit.

This is beautiful. Colors are so pleasing to the eye. Nice flight shot with good detail and sharpness. I like the overall setting with this one. You might want to remove what appears to be some sharpening halos just to make it that much better. Well done.
