Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher (Female Bird),
Sep,2013, Kokan, Maharashtra.

In this image the lizard is long then birds size how can she fit such long things in his stomach , i dont know but they bring it alive and in front of us she slam the lizard two three times on the tree breach. but the lizard is still alive and moving is tail up and down. For this image the day is so cloudy that i can get shutter speed is only 1/15..... still manage to caught this wonderful shot.

A definite 'wow' shot, not often a perched bird photo has this impact.

Obviously you have a beautiful subject, and detail and colours are spot on, but it's the lizard that puts the final polish on it. hte sharp head with the movement in the tail look fantastic.

Just a great, entertaining image. What good luck capturing tail swoosh with that shutter speed, was it shot using tripod? BG really sets the bird off nicely. Thanks for sharing

Love the colors and interaction here. I would add space on both sides. For future reference, you can raise your ISO easily past 800 on your 1DX without much noise. You could also open up your aperture from 8.0. There's no reason to have to use a 1/15 sec shutter speed when you are only at ISO 400

What an amazing capture. Colors are wonderful. Yes, you might have increased the SS, but then you might not have gotten that great tail swoosh. I would also like a little more room.

excellent bird and prey item, I wish you had used higher ISO to get better quality.
