Longwood Gardens provides ever-changing fields of beautiful flowers, and mixtures of them. But then there are also what I regard as botanical potpourris, that are an absolute treat to the eye. One is presented here.

All comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Nicely done, Norm. The rotten stump does a good job of anchoring the scene--I suspect without it this may have become a chaotic jumble.

I think you're right, Mitch. That stump ties things together.

Your title is the perfect description for this beautiful jumble of flowers and leaves. And I totally agree the stump holds it all together. Terrific DOF and a great composition & balance of clear, clean colors and shapes. A real visual delight!

Hi Norm. This is a really nice mix of colors and shapes in appealing light and I agree that the stump makes a strong focal point for my eye to latch onto before exploring the rest of the frame. Being picky, I might wish that the tip of the fern frond at the bottom of the frame wasn't clipped - of course with an image like this, as soon as you add room for the frond something else will probably look clipped. :S3: This is very nicely done!
