hi took this today at WTP.. crop and slight sharpening.. 5d mk ii, 500mm mk ii, 1.4 iii extender. f/22, 1/400, iso 800..

A very different and neat image! I like the complete reflection for each avocet. I also like that you positioned yourself so that the horizon line did not intersect any of them (there's a fine line between getting low and getting this shot!).

In an ideal world, there would be separation between them all, but that's not something you can control.

Any reason for shooting at f/22? I think that may have hurt IQ just a tad here.

Very nice. Good that you got high enough to get all the heads below the grass. The many merges prevent this from getting to the next level. I do like the soft light.

Fun panorama. They must have been nearing breeding season for you to find this many of them together. I think the birds need some more sharpening. Well done and it's fun to see so many, in great light in various poses.

Superb Black-winged stilt scape. I like the reflection and very nice composition.
