Great pose Stuart.
It would have been super if the far wing hadn't intersected with the bill but not a deal breaker.
It seems as though he is about to land so I would place the egret higher in the frame.
Did you do some cloning work on the bottom of the frame?

Beautiful egret with breeding colors and plumage. I see grey where the feathers should be white, not sure if you lowered the highlights too much trying to recover detail or if the white are too low. I also see what Gail asked about on the bottom either something very out of focus causing a shadow or artifacts from cloning.

I agree a little higher in the frame would be good, Stuart.
I have to say I can't see any marks towards the bottom so off I go monitor bashing again !!
Great action grab whatever.

Great action shot. I think the comment about it being low in the frame is correct. You could add some sky to the lower part? Getting the head sharp is well done and hard, given a flying situation. Good there.
