Camera Clubs?

Just curious to see if anybody belongs to a camera club. There's
a couple in my area (Cleveland), but it seems all of them are held
on a weeknight. I'd love to go, but I work midnites, which makes
it kind of hard.

Anybody ever start their own club?

I don't currently belong to a CC but did in the film days and it was great. But one of the first things that I realized after getting serious about digital photography was that forums like BPN are like being at a CC meeting 24/7/365 if you want! The clubs are great for meeting people face to face but really, the internet is the best resource, especially if you can't make meetings, IMO

I belong to a CC and really enjoy it. Besides meeting people we have competitions every month with four different categories and we have 3 three judges come in to do the judging so you can see how you stack up against other members. We also have a workshop once a month where we have someone explain different aspects of photography such as macro, photoshop, using NIK filters, etc.

That would be my main reason...to meet others. Just sucks these times don't work
out for me.
