Hello, another image of a wood duck taken at the Rhodie Gardens in Portland, OR

Nikon D800
Nikon 70-200mm with 2.0 Teleconverter for 240mm

Terry,

Looks like you have a very cooperative subject here. I would get lower to more of a eye level shot. Also, I would shoot at a higher ISO to get more DOF of the duck. The currently focus appears to be on the near wing. Stopping down would have help getting the head sharper.

Good exposure and colours, I also like the water droplet on the bill, the image would have been very much stronger if you had been able to get a little lower and if the bird was coming into the frame as opposed to going out of it.

Beautiful subject, goes without saying! Nice colours, good exposure. I too would have preferred a lower angle. One thing you got though is a good look at the top which we do not often see in photographs. I see you worked on the top and left part of the canvas?

Hi Daniel, yes I did work on all of the corners of the image. I had to add some background back into the image as the crop took out large sections of the four corners. I was sloppy as I notice I left some of the matt in the top left and the merging I did wasn't that smooth.
