This is what happened when I merged 3 photos into a pano with Photoshop. Obviously they didn't match too well! I posted this back in 2010 when I first started posting in OOTB but not as a theme image so some may remember it.

The unexpected appearance of this is intriguing. The light and dark lines along the triangle really set it off, and the sky is amazing. Having it on that background makes it even better. You should tell people this was your intent when you took the photos. I like it.

Making "lemonade from lemons" idea.....or in this case, good weather from clouds....well done. Catches your attention. the angle of the triangle frame moves with the directioin of the clouds, moving the eye with the cloud movement. Well done. Glad you chose blue, not black ( the usual choice ) the bkgd of the triangle.

Thanks Dennis and Hazel. Good idea on explaining it Dennis. :w3

Hi, Judy, I think I'd like this better than a pano anyway. It would have made a nice "geometry" theme entry:S3:

Thanks Cheryl! Yes it is a lot more interesting than the pano I eventually created from the set. I didn't think of it for "geometry". I had it in mind for this theme all along.

Hi Judy, I remember this image and I'm glad you posted it again. It is a really interesting example of "serendipity" in processing. I think you ended up with an unintended image that is really pretty cool!

Hi Judy...I really like this image. The triangles bring a sense of mystery to it, as if they are providing a small window into a beautiful panorama, the breadth of which is left to the viewer's imagination. I also like the way the lines lead you into the image itself. The whole effect is very artistic!

I see a large floating mirror. Kudos for seeing the potential of the image.

Thanks Kerry, Wendy and Gary! Yes it was definitely a keeper. I thought of doing something dramatic to it but I just applied Topaz Adjust lightly to bring out color and detail.

Well, I certainly am late on this one. Everyone said what I was going to say! This is fabulous with the very unexpected angles. I really like that the surrounding blue has some mottling to it to imply clouds. And the silhouetted trees and orange/gold in the foreground provide a lovely base for the image to expand from.

Thanks Paul. I just merged 3 photos that I thought I made for a pano and this was the result. Obviously one (or 2!) didn't line up correctly.

Congratulations for fist place on this theme. Well deserved. That triangle is strong.

What a wonderful "error". This is great!
