Another desert bird from the Negev:
Canon 7D, 300m f/4 with 1.4 extender
f/5.6, 1/1600, ISO 400
Car used as hide; camera stabilized with bean bag

Nice detail and comp. On my work monitor (ugh!) the image looks very monochromatic. Other images I looked up of this bird show more contrast between the gray head/back/wings and tan/buff underside. But as I say, it could just be my crappy monitor here. Good job!

I'm on my iPhone for a couple of days but I don't see the strong color cast here that I did on the previous post. An extreme cutie! Looks great toe!

Very nice. The bird is nice and sharp and the background is very smooth. I am not familiar with the species so I can't comment in the color of the bird. Good job.

Hi Wendy

This looks good to me. I'm not familiar with the bird so can't comment on the contrast but I think you did a good job with everything else.

Wendy, this is more in line with Negev desert tones and coloration posted elsewhere on the web. The muted grey tones mentioned above could be the result of light bouncing off of the environment, giving everything a warm, pinkish hue. Must be a challenge working away from your workstation!
