~Baby owls pay attention and react to everything around. They often hear and see things better than we can. This one was looking starring at the ground for an extended period of time.

The composition works well, the pale background is complimentary to the overall tone and the concentration of the chick is well demonstrated.

Nice and with good detail. Your choise of composition works well and I like the perfect camouflage of the bird within the tree.

Cute as it gets. I like the unusual compostion with the owl low in the frame.

This is cool, Troy and I like it too because its different than other Screech photos. Nice composition. I just photographed a rufous screech in a palm tree at my grandparents in Florida but it didn't come out too well. I had to use manual focus and a flash because it was so dark. Im trying to fix the photo in Photoshop.

I shot them in the palm cavity many times. I found that if the cavity is too big, it makes it harder as flash sometimes create shadows.

I do like the unique composition you chose here, and the owlet appears more at ease which makes for a more appealing image all around. I really like the textures and curves of the tree.
