One of what looked like a mated pair in a local park. I left the branch on the right in the image - thought it adds to it - interested in any other comments.

D300, Nikon 80-400, hand-held.

Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/800 second = 0.00125 second
Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 8/1 = F8
Exposure Program = aperture priority (3)
ISO Speed Ratings = 320

I know you like the branch URC, but personally I would get rid of it. The bird is too low in the frame and cropping the top would make you lose the bud on that branch anyhow. If you have it on your original I would then add some at bottom after the top crop. I like the blue/green mottled BG here and I like how the sparrow is gripping the little twig :-)

Agree with Daniel's suggestions. I would also mention that the eye looks a little grey to me; I might darken it a little.
