Returning from a trip to Antarctica, I had some time to spend in Ushuaia, Argentina. This pretty bird was foraging in clover at the waterfront.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

Norm:

A lot going on here. I liked the angled foreground, flowers and grass. The bird is sharp and well exposed. The taller grasses in the background are a bit busy, but don't bother me except the darker ones under the throat. I might consider removing them, or toning them down a bit, and tone down the brightness of the green shoot in front of the bill.

Cheers

LV the natural setting, BG, and soft lighting. Gorgeous bird with so many colours. I might try sharpening the eye just a hair. So many places to go and birds to see-TFS

It's a beautiful bird and I'm enjoying the overall setting here. Could see a slightly looser comp working too.

I agree 100% with Randy's critique. The only other thing I might add is that I would like some more room at the bottom of the frame for the feet,

I really like the environment you got this beautiful bird in. Good techs. I too would like a bit more space in the frame.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I've tried to follow Randy's suggestions and to add a little more space, with the result shown here. I'm afraid I really couldn't crop lower, because that brings in foreground vegetation that is too out of focus and distracting. But again, thanks!
