First off, they credit the Nature's Best Awards to National Geographic. Do they have permission to do this display?

If these two sites have no permission from the copyright holder I think one could inform the ISP and request to shut down the sites/remove the content.

Theft, no. copyright infringement, yes if they copied the images to another location. Otherwise it's basically just hot-linking and a big grey area as to whether or not it's legal or not.

It looks like the first link doesn't show the images anymore? The second is definitely infringement since there are images on their servers. http://content2.clipmarks.com/image_cache/Sheroug/512/C511FBE0-5F3D-493A-9E7A-9A73272BD341.jpg

The second gives credit to National Geographic in their ignorance, since they are all Nature Best's winner. NB has been notified. Thanks, Jim!

There were two e-mails circulating with the images. That's where they got them.

I see that Nature's Best has responded. Maybe they'll give me a leg up in the competition :D Even better, maybe a JOB! :O

Looks like he is doing the same thing with photos from a Cesar pet food contest too:

So much for his disclaimer that it is impossible to tell where the pictures came from since the logo is there in plain view!
