I was out looking for short eared owls but none about, I think they are still in the uplands due to relatively mild if somewhat windy weather. I also suspect that the very high tides we have recently experienced would have killed many of the voles in the marshes in any event.
This stonechat was a pleasant consolation it looks a bit central and it is a crop, I wanted to include a whole frame image to show the environment but the bird would have been just a bit too small so any comments regarding composition would be welcome.

Nice image Jonathan. I love the complimenting colors of the bird and background. I wish this bird was in Florida, I would love an opportunity to photograph it.

Even though the subject is centered the image feels balanced as the lower right part is thick with vegetation rendering the comp heavier on the right...which goes well with the empty left. Neat pose, almost looks like it was windy out there!
