I see that all birds which I could pick up so far on this forum were 'wildlife' birds. Let me introduce myself with something diffrent. Photographed at Monte Casino Bird Gardens, South Africa.

Not many macaws on this forum. I like the position, the good eye contact and sharpness of the head. I might crop in a bit all around to focus on the head. My eye keeps going to the OOF feathers on the wing. Also try to tone down the bright area around the head a bit. If you could have, moving a bit to the right could have put the head against a better background.

Thanks for showing!

Linda

Thanks For the reply Linda! I did not really have too much of freedom as far as my position was concerned - one of the reasons why I took the photo from such a short distance... :S3:

Beautiful portrait with beautiful colors. Agree with Linda's comments. Wish you could have used lower aperture to get feathers in focus.

Satish.

The crop to get rid of most of the focus is a bit too tight for my liking Linda, but I've done it regardless...
