This is a beautiful bird that is positioned well in the frame.
Technically there is a lack of darks that make the image very low contrast. I reworked it with an adjustment layer in Photoshop to create another way to present it.
Another issue is that the image was only 800 pixels wide. You might consider 1,200 wide pixels for future posts.

this image has lots of potential, but I agree that is a little "weak" as presented. I would go even a bit further than Henry here.. something like this...and you can see a dust spot appear with the corrections... :S3: TFS

Thank you both for the comments. The lighting was some of the weirdest I've ever come across and all of my images are on the washed out side like what was posted. It was totally overcast that day and when I was photographing at north beach a very odd misty fog rolled in and blanketed everything---made for a gigantic light diffuser.

Anyway, I tweaked the levels a bit and cloned out the dust spot--am I on the right track here, or is this too much?
