Richard:
Good shooting angle, title and composition fits the action well.
Harsh light, but you held the whites pretty well.
I might consider running a multiply blend mode layer to tone down the brightest components of the image a bit.
The repost is done using a multiply layer at 36%. Certainly can adjust to taste.
In a perfect world, would prefer the shoots right behind the lead birds back to not be there.
Cheers

Great action, and Randy helped you out with a good suggestion. I don't love all that mud on the bottom and would consider a pano crop to get rid of it.

Grace:
I was bothered by the mud below as well, but liked the room for the chase to move into. Perhaps a bit off?

I'd loose it and assume that they ran up the hill. :w3

This is a really fun image! Love the detail you got on the front bird, and the far bird is just enough oof and has a wicked pose. You could lose those bits of vegetation growing out of the bird's back, and you got unlucky with a big shadow cast on that mound. All-in-all a memorable scene, I like it lots!!

Hi Richard, excellent detail on the leading plover, and the eye really pops nicely. Randy's multply blending mode layer works well, and I agree, a little off the bottom will only improve the image further. Well captured.
