This was a perfectly normal raptor (yellow-headed caracara), that I took into Pixel Bender kaleidoscope and twisted and turned this way and that. Then he was cropped, duplicated, one made small into junior, and rearranged into a family pose. The bkgd is parts from other images of mine desaturated and skewed to fit as I wanted. Then I applied a PS warming filter at 25% opacity.
PS. I just returned from a wonderful 3 weeks of birding in the Andaman Islands and the Western Ghats of southern India. Both the weather and the food was hot :S3:!

Gremlins! A well executed, fun image- you make it look easy...I hope you enjoyed the trip, look forward to seeing images from it.

This is outstanding. The grouping is good, the background fits their shaggy coats perfectly, and the critters are just amazing. Great work.
I'm glad you're back.

Bizarre and disturbing. Well done. The blue bg works well.

Hi, Nancy, what a great image! I love your creativity in creating the family group and especially like the background. Who would have thought that they had been caracara:S3:

Fabulous Nancy. I like that the eyes at the bottom almost look like feet, like a new breed of penguin. Really well done!

Honestly not sure how to comment or critique for this theme week... Everything is so unique it's up to personal interpretation.
Very fun and creative!! For me very gremlin like, I will have nightmares.... Lol
