One from a couple of weeks back. This is one of our skulking rail species here in Australia - I got a lucky break when the chick popped out of the reeds while the parent bird was feeding. Thanks for looking, Greg.

What a lovely little family portrait, Greg. The low angle and BG are killer, as are your techs as always. The only thing that could have improved this image in my eyes would have been to see a little more of their tootsies. That said, I can see how lifting up a little bit would probably have startled the rails.

Great portrait and colours. I do have a slight aversion to the blurry foreground and lack of tootsies. Does the flash spook the Rails?

Wow ! This all what i can said.
Stunning poses with excellent details and perfect exposure. I love the low angle and the forward stare of the young bird. Well done, Greg

Beautiful family, nicely shown. I echo the comments that have preceded mine.

Hi Greg
I sometimes feel that getting a low angle is sometimes over-rated because of all the long foreground grass that impedes the view.
But you really nailed this one so I'll need to re-evaluate.
Beautiful image with nice angle & definition.
