PP: Small crop ~ 85% FF, NR to BG, levels, increase exposure by .3, DE at 4% on head and 2% on body. USM to JPEG at 35% .Cloned out 1 errant snowflake near tail that added nothing to image.
I have 12 juncos frequenting my backyard and I love how sweet and feisty they are. Shot through my open kitchen window one early morning after a snowstorm. Attracted by seed.
Comments and critiques always learned from and appreciated with thanks,
Gail
PS I do have an image with entire tail visible but the wings are flat.

Nice image Gail. The exposure looks spot on and the pose is interesting.
I could see a version with less snow at the bottom maybe.

Nice pose and I like the flared wings. The HA looks good and the feather detail and exposure look great. Maybe a bit off the bottom as Iain mentioned to reduce the brightness of the snow. Well done Gail, especially for not leaving the house ;)

Gail wish I had these in my garden, composition a bit difficult with the bird being so close up, exposure and detail are super and pin sharp, snow is fine for me.

A nice junco, the snow makes a good contrast with the dark bird. If mine I would crop a tad on top.

Quite an adorable pose with the wings up. Love the colors. Agree that a crop from the top would move the little one up in the frame and strenthen it a bit.

Really nice Gail, the pure white snow works very well with the little Snowbird, Grand job!
