0-degrees Fahrenheit.

Canon 7D, EF 70-200mm f/4L IS at 100mm, Av Mode, ISO 800, +1EV, f/9 resulting in 1/5000-sec., with Raw conversion in DxO Optics Pro 9.2 with PRIME NR engaged and DxO Filmpack Rollie Ortho 25 emulation selected and high Contrast and Micro Contrast added. I wanted to blow out the sun, in case you're wondering, so don't go down that road. :S3:

This looks like a nuclear explosion scene and has kind of grown on me….
I am sure you have your reasons, but they are the craziest Landscape settings I have every seen!

Thank you Dan.

I actually pulled the car broadside to this scene and shot out the window without looking at settings. i then took some shots with more "traditional" landscape settings (I'd been shooting birds on the lakeside), but this is the one that grabbed me when it was time for Raw conversion. That Rollie Ortho 25 imitation is very contrasty and emphasized the crunchy iciness of the snow and ice.

I get what you were going for, David.
For me, it lacks a bit of punch - and I think deepening the blacks and dodging the brightest whites would probably be a step in the right direction? My 2c...:e3
