The sun was cloud covered in this shot, that and the angle of the birds head meant, unfortunately, no eye catch light, but I do like the good showing of the Alula feathers.

I like the pose here, but as you pointed out, a little more life in the eyes would have been nice. What kind of perch was the bird landing on?

Thanks Doug, the Kestrel wasn't landing, it was hovering, looking for prey.

Perhaps there is no catchlight per say, but look closely and you see some reflection in the eyes that you can enhance...that would help. Love the pose, especially the fanned tail.
