I was shooting very dark birds at 1/2000 s and these guys with 1/4000 s.
Unfortunately I had no time to switch back from dark bird setting to white bird setting at this instant.
Result: overexposure on the breast that I mostly fixed in RAW and PP.

So I'm not the only one who makes exposure errors? :w3 Now that you told me what happened, I had to look and the breast is rather detaill-less. But the wings look superb. Love the leap out of the water with the dangling feet...would like a bit more room on the left.

It is not obvious that you have made some recovery. All other aspects the images is superb and enjoyable to view.

Karl I think the exposure of the wings more than make up for the bit of loss on the breast, water splash and the action you have caught make it for me.

Fun flight position Love the movement in the wings. The yellow pops so nicely against the blue, as do the pinkish webbed feet. Cool splash.

I really like the detail in the wing feathers.
As you say, too bad about the whites on the breast. You could clone in the area if you wanted.
