It's been a while since my last post. Lots of work to do around the new house (some of which includes trying to figure out how to attract the birds - I have Alan's eBook, don't worry!).
I got the chance to go out and shoot with Doug at the local Biopark pond. It was like a mini workshop for me and I came back with some of the best in flight images I've taken. Not bad for one afternoon!
This one is of a drake Wood Duck in flight. Never really thought I'd be able to track, let alone capture one in flight. This is one of my favorites, mainly because of the wing position and clear view of the head.
Shooting Info:
Canon 5D3 | 500 f/4 II
1/2500" | f/5.6 | ISO 500
Not much processing here, just highlight adjustment to bring back some detail in the white head feathers, and contrast/vibrance boost. Otherwise, just cropped.
