Best bet for an ID is via a picture! Remember to provide the location where the bird was seen! Welcome to BPN!

Also the date. Time of year can be important in difficult ID problems.

It just took me 5 minutes to find this -- wish it were in an easier-to-find location. Go to the forum just above this one, Tutorials and Educational Resources, and the information is in the top "Sticky" -- go down to the near the bottom of the first screen to a section for Forum Participants. Wish that it was more visible as a separate heading!
