These guys migrate to India around the winters.

Was out for a week shooting in the Western Parts of India in the arid expanses of the Little Rann of Kutch and a Grassland

This image was made early in the morning the sun wasn't out due to some cloud cover and early morning mist due to the cold wave .

1/320 , ISO 1000, f 7.1
Exposed +1 in the field

137141

Shot Hand held, not a great idea but it was more to do with the time i had as i got to click around 10 frame before this guy made off.

The background has a small uphill of a mound of mud , first i thought i tilted it but then i realised that the mound had that angle.

let me know your thoughts

Regal, powerful raptor. Majestic pose. Techs look great. Nice job handholding at that SS (what was your focal length?)
Lovely BG and comp.
Very nicely done Vishal.

Gorgeous bird with terrific IQ! Love the perch (I actually wish you had a bit more of it below). Perfect head angle, nice BG. Lots to like here! Sometimes handheld IS the way to go even for tripod users...had you tried setting up your tripod you would have lost the opportunity.

Great IQ on this . I agree either more off the top and more on the bottom. But no big deal. great lion.

Cheers

The IQ of this image is superb. Beautiful bird, background, and "perch". I might take a bit off the left side (as viewed), just as another option. Congratualtions.

Very nice Vishal. The exposure and detail look awesome and the soft light gives this a special kind of look. Great work.
