A small muddy puddle in the middle of nowhere during the dry season in the South African bushveld can be very productive for smaller birds - it attracted this little canary during an early morning session at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, South Africa. Canon 1DIV, EF 300 f2.8II, TC 1.4III, 1/800, f8, ISO 125, beanbag rest, cropped and worked up in CS6. Thanks for your comments.

Gerhard I like this a lot, just a personal thing but I think I would crop a little bit off the left and maybe a tad off the top, bird and it's reflection look really good as does the water, it's one of those images that really appeals to me.

Beautiful bird nicely shown. I might be inclined to crop some off the top and clone out the two rocks in the background. I like that you cropped to show the ripple, nice image.
