Hi, I'm wearing glasses and after a couple of hours of shooting, the force of pressing my forehead against the eyecup of the Canon 1DX + 500f4 lens often makes a dent on my face near the eyebrow. It actually hurts! Does anyone use an eye cup? If so, please recommend what works. Thank you. Loi

Hey Loi, I use a Hoodman eye cup. They are made for people with glasses and are very comfortable. Check it out. Hope this helps

I hated using glasses with cameras so much that I had Lasik (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LASIK) surgery done on one eye. I took my camera with me to the ophthalmologists office so they could make sure to do optimal corrections to my shooting eye. It has been a few years now and I have to say it was worthwhile. By having only one eye corrected that left me with one eye for seeing close and one eye for seeing distance (and shooting pictures).

Hello Loi

I too use a Hoodman eye cup on my 1D4, but I modified mine with scissors to make the cup circular so when I rotated the camera from portrait to landscape the eye cup did not need rotating also. The standard eyecup sort of wraps around your head a bit and when you rotate the camera this bit pushes into your face unless you rotate it. I now like what I have got...

Don, that sounds very clever! I remembered using one with my T3i 2 years ago and didn't like ti for the same reason, but I cannot afford to get bruises every time I go out for a shoot :(.

Henry, my wife told me I should do Lasik too, but I'm chicken :(

Thank you all, just ordered my Hoodman yesterday for the weekend.
