This is the last image in the sequence of this brown phase Goose coming in to land.

1DMKIII, 500 f/4, 1/1250 at f/4.5, Manual Mode, Evaluative Metered, ISO 1600, Tropod, Slight crop and usual ACR and PS treatment.

Nice pose. I believe that it is a blue morph Snow Goose. A decent crop from behind and the top would move the bird nicely into the upper right third. I love the look at the bird's face and the detail on the dorsal surface of the near wing.

Where?

Thanks for the comment Artie, I made my first pilgrimage to Bosque this year and fell in love with the place cannot wait to get back there.

YAW Don. I made my first visit 21 years ago and have been back every year since...

I like the wing position, BG, sharpness and how the head just clears the wing. Nice image Don.

Love the wing position here with the head peeking through, Don. Just like the other one, love the color palate. Crop works as is but might be even stronger if you applied Artie's suggestion.
