I took this image today while playing with a rented D3S.
Nikon 300mm f/4 + TC 1.4
iso 2500
f/8.0
1/5000
The original image was cropped in LR then exported to PS.
The canvas was extended and the BG created using content aware fill.
Using the clone stamp the border of the new canvas was smoothed out.
The bird was masked using Topaz ReMask and Topaz InFocus was applied because the bird was not tack sharp.
Detail extractor was applied to the bird.
The background was DeNoised.
Exported back to LR where it was cropped again.

Very nice job on the added canvas and fill! But since the question here isn't about the RAW processing, I don't think you need to include all the screenshots -- just the final (second image) and the original in Pane 2 would be enough.

When you do content-aware fill, look carefully for posterization artifacts, especially in very featureless areas such as skies. It helps to see them to add a curves layer and punch the contrast a lot then put it in Luminosity mode (top left in the Curves window). I wish I knew why it does that, and wish even more they would fix it.

Excellent exposure and a lovely pose captured. Nice job on the clean up as well. There's a fine dark vertical line by the birds prominent claw that I would evict.
I'd add a tad more space to the top and crop this as a 2:3 to show case those gorgeous details.
Very well done Joaquin.
