This Sandhill Cranes in pool at sunset image was created with the hand held Canon 24-105mm L IS lens (at 24mm) with the EOS-5D Mark III. ISO 640. Evaluative metering +1 stop: 1/80 sec. at f/5.6.
From our last evening at Bosque this year. Click here (http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/2013/12/03/a-fitting-endingshort-zoom-lens-tips/) for to see the tighter image that I created after this one and an image of the boys and girls photographing the scene.

Don't be shy; all comments are welcome.

I love the colors of this image and the designs in the sky. There is a bit too much FG for my taste and I am seeing some aberration in the upper corners.

Thanks Marina. I think that I forgot to correct the vignetting; I believe that that is what you are referring to. It was a great way to finish a wonderful two weeks.

The light and colors are fantastic. Like the nice composition and the black details (birds, grass, mountain, ...) . Fantastic image.

Super colors. What a wonderful scene. I don't know if all of the foreground adds much to it, as Marina noted; but it does help to put the line of mountains near the 1/3 point for a very pleasing comp, so I'd leave it as is.

Arthur don't think I'm qualified to comment on the technical bits of your image but I do like the whole scene with it's fantastic colours.

Thanks all. From where I sit the foreground grasses balance the composition perfectly :).

Arthur Sir,
Very sweet landscape/ crane scape with magical colors.Love it. I like the OP than tight crop, though it has it's own beauty.

Satish.
