A realbeauty Graeme. The bird is bright and sharp and the varied colours of the BG actually add to the image rather than distracting, probably because the subject is so striking

Nice light, perch, subject. The BG for the most part works well but the large streak touching the bird is unfortunate...you can try blending or smoothing its edges plus toning down its luminosity. I would also remove the bright area directly at the lower left corner. Good comp and nice details.

Beautiful bird and great colors, details and eye contact. I agree with Daniels's suggestion about the BG.

A beautiful jewel. In addition to Dan's excellent suggestions I would tone down the bird just a bit both in brightness and saturation.

interesting bird, very similar looking bee eaters seen
the sharpness is good and the BG is nice
I may prefer the front of the bird a toned down on brightness, otherwise a nicely executed image
