Here is an another frame from SoCal with Dave Salem. This good looking female was very cooperative and gave us many poses on the perch. It's tough to shot flight from a vehicle but I was happy with this one. BG was a bit closer than I prefer but we were limited in our placement. Hope you like it

Nice work getting this shot of her Arash. It was fun trying to get her coming and going to her favorite perches. I like this one allot and the wing and head position look great. Awesome detail too.
I know what you mean about the BG but looks pretty darn good anyway.
Glad you got a good flight shot of her and the Harriers.

I agree that the background is distracting. I thought I'd see if I could make the background recede more by applying lens blur in Photoshop. I also added a touch of blue to the background. Does this improve it or does it look fake?

Thanks everyone

Thanks Henry unfortunately blurring the BG in Photoshop does not work for me.

Arash, a beautiful subject, well captured. The kestrel appears to have turned its head to look right at you. You couldn't ask for better eye contact. The primaries are spread for close inspection (and high impact). Sharp and well exposed. I agree that the background is a bit of a distraction, but think that Henry's repost takes care of that concern beautifully.

Beautiful flight position and head turn. Your usual excellent flight techs. I agree that the near BG didn't help, and I don't mind Henry's repost, but I know you're not a fan of PS blurs.

I like the flight pose, details in the plumage and eye contact. Lovely tones in this image.

LOvely SHot Ari,

Love the details and the pose the spread and HA is perfect. I know how difficult this shot is of this small bird especially from a vehicle. Would have liked some more space in front of the brid
