Phil...me head tells me that the bird is too big in the frame, but I cannot stop looking at this, so I think it works. There is so much detail in the bird and the moss, and that rust colored background so perfectly compliments the little guy. Thanks for sharing this, quite a nice treat for the evening.

What a little stunner!!! Exposure, colors and details are simply spot on. Love the color mix.

Hi Phil, I quite like the posture with the slight head turn, however I think it would benefit from a flip left to right. The blacks around the eye need a slight adjustment to lift them slightly, as the finer detail is choked. Overall the image looks/appears saturated, but that could be down to the image being RGB rather than sRGB, another easy fix.

Perfect head angle and a beautiful perch. I'm not usually worried about dof for bird photography but from such proximity you could stop down more to get the beautiful perch in focus too. Appealing image, well done.
