Viera was cloudy & foggy this morning when this Cara-Cara flew over me. This never happens under good light! Always a challenge to shoot under these conditions.

Nice pose on this shot Mike. The exposure and detail looks good and the high key sky makes for a unique look. Well done

Very nice Mike. I actually think the softer light helped you here because if the sun had been shining the shadows in the underwings would have been very difficult to expose for.
You would need Photoshop to clone the bands out. LR just isn't powerful enough to do it.

Excellent flight pose. Beautiful wings and tail feathers. I like the HA.
you can use PhotScape for cloning purpose. Can be down loaded.

The subject looks great, awesome wing spread. The soft lighting helped you get some details on the darker areas. Bummer about the bands. What were your techs?

Beautiful shot, I'd love to see the settings used. I typically end up with a blown out mess when shooting into that type of sky.

I don't mind the bands at all! This is THE BEST shot of a Caracara I have ever seen. Just awesome!

I like the bands as it gives more insight into this bird's life. Someone caught it, took data and put an aluminum band on it and color bands so it can be identified without being recaptured.
