I was in two minds about sharing this photograph as the IQ is not what I wanted to to be and it is a fairly large crop. That said, I liked the perch and the display pose.
I look forward to your comments and thoughts. Thanks for looking!

Richard,

While not the best IQ, the perch and unbalance pose is very nice. Maybe a tad too much sharpening?

Richard:

Interesting perch, with complimentary color palette. Strong sense of motion despite the high shutter speed (which is good)

On my monitor the background is rather blotchy, uneven colors. Perhaps a bit of noise reduction there to smooth it out.

Cheers

Hi Richard, you timed the display nicely, just didnt get the raised foot that goes with it.:w3 There are lot of these guys at Rietvlei, but the perch tells me this was captured elsewhere. I also the 'botchy' BG, so as Randy suggests, smoothening it out should work.

Thanks everyone, not my best but thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Stuart, out of interest how do you smooth out the BG as I am using the brush tool but obviously not getting the smooth effect you are talking about? Any help would be awesome.
I took this in Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, Vaalwater.
