Wonderful image, Grace. I would only recommend a slight counter-clockwise rotation.

Lovely colours and timing Grace - agree on the CCW rotation too...

Great looking wing flap Grace. Good looking drake with nice colors and the exposure is perfect as it renders lots of feather detail. Yes to a hare of ccw rotation and I would like to see a tighter comp if the IQ holds to show off the under wing detail. Nice one.

Lovely shot, Grace. Perfect wing extension. Good IQ and light. My initial reaction was for a tighter crop, but I like the blue water ripple and I'm glad you left it in. Rotation noted.

Rotation and crop from below and left would be nice, or if you like the size of the bird in the frame as is perhaps have it lower in the frame. You could not have asked for a better full wing extension than this and I love the details of the feathers on that wing!! I also dig the angle of the wigeon relative to your position.

Hi Grace, great wing flap, and the near wing is showing some great feather detail. I really like the coloured band on the head. Another vote for a touch of CCW rotation, and I would take a bit off the bottom.

Thanks for your suggestions. I am still unsatisfied with this image as the background to me looks like it slopes to the left and down due to the ccw. Thoughts? i did crop bottom and left...lots of pixels on this one to play with.

I think the rotation helps; the reflection now looks closer to vertical. Lovely any way you rotate it.
