Excellent flight frame Alan! Even at a setup, you've got to have a quick trigger finger to get a shot like this. How far was your staging perch from your feeder?

Just amazing reflexes and technique needed for this one.
Love the head turn towards you and the wings down position.
Great light as well.
A technically superb flight shot,
Gail

One of my favourite birds , never seen it in real but i just love all the images i see of this bird
i must stay that till date this is the best i have seen of this bird, in air is really special
the IQ is fantastic and the BG compliments it well, very nicely executed.

Perfect technics that I actually tried with Gray Jays but will have to work on a little longer (maybe much longer) to come up with this kind of superb image as you did, Alan.

You are right Karl. Few realize the amount of time, work, and effort that goes into creating an image like this. Alan shares all of his set-up secrets in his two great guides; see both at the link here (http://www.birdsasart-blog.com/2013/11/17/torres-del-paine-tyrants-audio-playback-in-south-america-manual-exposure-tip-and-more-2/).
