A young male with an attitude :bg3:, right after his afternoon siesta.
Shot in late afternoon light. Done a curve adjustment to the background to deal with the harshness on the white stones.
Comments welcome!

You can see he has had a good meal. Difficult BG to deal with so well done

Shreyas - certainly a full bodied lion here.

On my phone, but looks like you could possibly increase the exposure in the mid tones a touch. Color wise, I did see a magenta cast when on computer earlier, and you may want to look at reducing the blue in the shadows.

Colours look ok to me, although there is some blue in the shadows. I would try to reduce the contrast in the bg to level out the stones a bit.

Hi Shreyas - nice look at the young male with a good head turn and comp. The rocks are a tough bg but you've done well in taming them. Slight blue cast in areas noted. I'm not seeing a magenta cast though. I think you can bring out a bit more detail with a midtone adjustment and might consider a very slight drop in the yellows.

Rachel

Thanks for the suggestions, folks!
I did work up the blues on the very bright stones, but will give it another look.

Hi Shreyas,

you've got good suggestions already above. This one looks very well fed! They do have enough food in E. :S3:
The rocks in the BG look a bit harsh, I know that's how it is there, but can be dealt with. You just need to try a few things with Luminosity :S3:

Have a great weekend

There are a few waterholes where those stones are ever-present in Etosha. Nice light and he certainly looks satisfied - was the kill nearby?
Blue shadows noted, not seeing the magenta.

Thanks Anette, Andre and Morkel!

@ Morkel, this is one of the 3 brothers from the Olifantsbad waterhole (close to Okaukuejo). Let's see if you find them there in the following weeks .... pretty green about your upcoming trip :w3
