Cute fluffly pose. When composing an image like this, I personally like to give the bird room to gaze into, so I recompose with less room on the right (as viewed) and more on the left. Just an option. Lots of interest and great detail throughout.

I love the unobstructed view of the feet. Good details and I also like the ruffled pose. Nice pose, and the vertical comp works for the most part...I just wish you had a pointed your lens a wee bit more to the left (giving you the comp suggested by Grace). I'd also be tempted to remove the white object touching the claw.

This bird was taking off and landing back on the same spot. I was hoping to get it taking off, thus I had composed the frame with the bird on the left. and then it went all fluffed.

I do however have more space... without doing all the work of cleaning and smoothing FG and BG, does this work better for those that suggest a diff comp? Thanks!
