View Full Version : GDT European Wildlife Photographer of the Year

Award season is in full swing, and the latest bunch to reveal their winner is the Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen (Society of German Wildlife Photographers). A group that had previously gone under my radar, but it's definitely a collection worth viewing. The winner is British underwater photographer Alex Mustard, with a creative long-exposure of fish feeding.

Clearly slow-shutter speeds are popular with judges this year, and I reckon it's a worthy winner that (for me at least) is more immediately successful than the choice of WPotY.

Wow, that is some super high quality photography. I like the focus of the jury for some more abstract images. Thanks for sharing this link.
I see a lot of images that were also in WPotY.

Thank you for posting this, Paul, and for making us all aware of this amazing competition. I really enjoyed going through the winning photos and there were a few that really blew me away.

Some fantastic stuff. I actually always like the images of this competition even better than Veolia WPOTY.
